Introducing Chicago Patterns

Welcome to a new project that visually documents the patterns that define the neighborhoods of Chicago.

The idea behind Chicago Patterns is that neighborhoods are identified by the man-made artifacts that make up the visual landscape. Buildings, infrastructure, businesses, art, and other items we see every day serve as puzzle pieces that create the culture and identity of a neighborhood. I will try to identify those patterns that give each area its unique identity.

This first entry is the view on Milwaukee Avenue.
